There is a sobering number in every life: how many Saturdays are left. I wanted an app that shows it gently, not to scare, but to stop me postponing the things that matter.

A small, slightly dark, surprisingly warm app about living now. It’s the old Stoic idea of memento mori, minus the skulls.

What’s inside

Saturdays left

A huge number counted from your birthday and an optimism level you choose. About 4,000 if you’re lucky.

The ANYWAY button

Scared to send the message, quit the job, dance badly? Press it. Then go.

ANYWAY. The button for the thing you're scared to do.

The Worry Filter

Will it matter in 5 years? In 100? When the Sun becomes a red giant? If it doesn’t survive, it spins and floats away.

Before it’s too late

Not a bucket list. Things you’d regret not doing. Each one counts its waiting days and turns orange after a week.

Worry Filter. Three questions, from 5 years to the red giant.

You’re still alive

Once a day, at a random moment between 10:00 and 21:00, a notification reminds you and asks what you’ll do about it.

A line from the Stoics

A question of the day and a quote from Marcus Aurelius, Seneca, Epicurus or Ecclesiastes.

Released. A worry that didn't survive the filter.

Good to know

How is the number counted?

From your birthday and an optimism level, the life expectancy you pick. Saturdays are just weeks you can feel.

Is it gloomy?

A little dark, mostly warm. It doesn’t track streaks or nag you about goals. It’s the friend who read a lot of Seneca and just wants you to text them back.

What does it know about me?

Your birthday, your worries and your list, all stored on the phone. The app has no internet permission, so none of it can leave.
